Hey, that's exactly the Federation attitude I'm going for in the Alpha Trek Sim.

I don't know if this belongs in this thread or the music thread but here it is.

The phrase "Accordion Orchestra" just seems so wrong at first glance ... but awesome.

BSG Prelude to War arranged for Accordion Orchestra, played by Bear McCreary.

It is wrong... that's not nearly an orchestra.

Haha, I do get what you mean. According the Blog post: the score is in fact fully prepared for multiple accordions, so for an accordion ensemble. However, he does not have an accordion ensemble to work with and wanted to perform the entire thing himself, hence multiple dubbings to make the video. According to the blog it could be performed by an accordion ensemble with enough members should they wish.

Am I the only one who got the shudders when reading this phrase? I have painful memories of dance floors full of Polaks and Ukies (my family) bouncing around in a vodka and holubtsi inspired frenzy.

As i said, the term just seems wrong ... but in this case it's also kind of awesome. But yes, outside of this context my usual reaction to the phrase would be horror.

Seconded.

Hard to play, though. :bangwall:
