Wasn't colors, it was a black bandanna. And it's not a habit of wearing a bandanna, but other things, usually cutoff gloves. Plus she doesn't walk the streets.
It doesn't have to be an actual color to be considered flying una bandera. As to it being habitual, I just took you at your word when you said that wearing a bandana isn't unusual for her.

And I certainly never had any intention of implying that I thought she was a prostitute. :?

Oh, no problem Mikey, I realize that I was just clarifying as I realized what I said could have implied that very much. But yeah, it was bandage style on her arm.

And thanks Striker.

Ultimately Nick, theres not masses you can do. Anyone who is determined to harm themselves is going to do it, believe me. They realise, as I had done, that the reason was stupid or immature or attention seeking whatever and they wake up. Or they continue until they do.

Indeed. Habitual cutting is an addiction like any other... and someone with an addiction can be uncharacteristically and diabolically clever in finding ways to continue feeding her addiction surreptitiously.

Yeah, I just wish there was something that I could do to help her come to that realization. It's a bothersome habit of mine to others, my desire to help.

One of the last things i did before leaving work today was get a Sanyo 47-inch TV for a customer today. A little bit later and I'm out the door. I'm driving out the parking lot when a car pulls out in front of me... with that same TV strapped to the roof.

Unfortunately all you can do is be there for them if and when they need someone to talk too, but it usually doesn't to any good until they've hit rock bottom. I'm not sure what rock bottom for a cutter might be though.....accidentally nicking a tendon or artery maybe? Or a horrendous infection I suppose. But ultimately its her problem, my man, and making it yours won't do anything for anyone.

Talked with my friend Kathy for about 40 minutes last night. First time in about two weeks, too. Was good. :D
