Duke Nukem Forever Gets A Release Date

Post by Sionnach Glic »

Yes, it seems that it's finally finished. After 12 years in development. May the 3rd is apparently when it's coming out. And regardless of whether it's awful or brilliant, I'll be getting it anyway.

Trailer here.
"You've all been selected for this mission because you each have a special skill. Professor Hawking, John Leslie, Phil Neville, the Wu-Tang Clan, Usher, the Sugar Puffs Monster and Daniel Day-Lewis! Welcome to Operation MindFuck!"

It's going to be brilliantly awful.

I can tell that just from the trailer:

"Hell, I'd still hit it!"

Actually, if the trailer is anything to judge by then it actually looks like it might be pretty good. And with all that time to work out the bugs, I think I'll be remaining cautiously optimistic.

Or, to quote the man himself:
"What about the game, Duke? Was it any good?"
"After twelve fucking years, it should be."

I meant that it's going to be awful on purpose, and will be brilliant because of that. :)
