Death Gate Cycle

Post by Mark »

I'm re-reading on old favorite fantasy series (a seven part series at that). Anyone else a fan? It was written by Wiess and Hickman of Dragonlance fame.

They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

And sitting on the opposite end of the spectrum... Foxbat.

Sorry, but I found the Darksword Trilogy an awful waste of my time. First 2.5 books I can deal with, but the ending... sheesh...

I was so let down by the ending of this series that I made a vow to never touch a Weiss & Hickman product ever again. Vow has been kept since 1988... I honestly feel one of my few purposes in life is to try to warn off others. (I realize it's a ridiculous purpose, but it's my purpose and I'm going to do my best to fulfill it...)

I realize this is my opinion based on my tastes and preferences, but, please... put the books down... It's for your own good...!

I'll admit the Darksword trilogy didn't float my boat, but the Death Gate cycle is alot of fun. Their Dragonlance stuff seems......I dunno, a bit juvinile to me as I got older, but the Death Gate still rocks.

Pick your side....

Team Sartan or Team Patryn.

I'll go Team Patryn.
