I think my favourite was Avatar's.

(from memory)

Jake: Finally! We beaten the humans and they won't come back!
Scientist: We have to be careful if they want to come and mine some more.
Nav'i Girl: Mining? What you talking about?
Scientist: What you mean, "What you talking about"? Jake, your mission was to tell the Nav'i our situation so we could reach an agreement!
Jake: Well.. yhea.. I kinda got distracted by the Alien Sex. My bad, sorry.

No Avatar's proper ending is a bright flash as the next ship along drops a kilogram of antimatter right down onto the world tree thing.

Ohhh..!! I want in! I want in!

I find the end so depressing. 'cause in my mind, the price the Unobtainamium is gonna skyrocket, so you'll have more investors ready to pay to start up exploitation again. They will show up with real huge weaponry and blast the Na'vi from orbit.

Pretty much like when the natives won against European colonials. It's just a temporary victory.

Well, Cameron is making Avatar into a trilogy, so we'll probably seeing something along those lines in the future.

From the background material unobtanium is the new oil of the world. Without it the countries and militaries of the world will fold. On top of that it's a $1.2 trilllion dollar a year venture. If there was one oil well in the entire world, and it was making the company that owned it more than the GDP of half the world's nations combined do you think anyone would give a shit if they returned and wiped out the annoying natives who threw their last crew of the well? Nope. The Nav'i are royally fucked.

You really think so? I doubt it - it'll end with Pocahontas and co living happily ever after.

Na'vi steal some human tech, replicate it, and drive off all the humans by completely defying the whole "noble savage" trope.

Of course, here I am and there James Cameron is...

Replicate it, and become as worse as the humans!

Ohhh.. what a sweet irony twist!
