Re: SFDebris: Descent
Stupidest thing about Descent was sending Picard on the search for the Borg whist Beverly stayed on the ship in command. If an extra pair of eyes is THAT important, why not send Beverly on the mission and keep Picard aboard? It was such a horribly blatant excuse to get Picard captured by the Borg, and to do it they trashed a policy they'd kept pretty well for the whole of TNG thus far.
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

Re: SFDebris: Descent
I think Descent is really where they started the pussification of the Borg trend that Voyager ran so hard with. They used to be THE BORG. Here they were just Lore and his poor little lost drones.

To an extent, but in this case can be easily handwaved by the fact that they were a detached splinter group.Tyyr wrote:I think Descent is really where they started the pussification of the Borg trend that Voyager ran so hard with.
