Re: Rogue Trader?
Gah. Chemo.
I sure hope that goes well, man. How old is your dad, BTW?
I'd like to see that rulebook myself, if you don't mind, Kendall.

That's the thing about the big "C." I've had to learn it with my diabetes. There are things that you have to admit that you can't just "man up" and tough it out, or overcome - you have to accept it and decide that you're going to manage it, treat it, and deal with it. Well, our thoughts and prayers (the non-atheists of us, anyway) are with you and him.

Learned the same thing with my knees. And, recently, my spine. Because of my knees.Mikey wrote:That's the thing about the big "C." I've had to learn it with my diabetes. Two years older than my mom. Guess I'm not just being paranoid, worrying about her health.

No you're not. The good thing about cancer - if there can be said to be a "good thing" - is that it's growth reacts like any other tissue growth. That is, the older the patient, the slower the cancer is.

Re: Rogue Trader?
Thanks, Kendall. Looks like you can create a particular character by starting at the bottom of the origin path chart and working upwards.

Re: Rogue Trader?
If we're going to do this, would it be possible to transfer characters? Maybe get a cross-over effect?

Re: Rogue Trader?
You DH characters are supposed to be fully compatible with RT. I'll need to read further to make sure though.

Re: Rogue Trader?
Even if not fully, we could make minor changes to allow them to work (with the GMs permission). I personally like two of my DH characters and wouldn't mind bringing them over.

Re: Rogue Trader?
As long as they are compatible (or can be tweaked) then I don't have an issue with it.

Re: Rogue Trader?
Well, one is a Guardsmen (Enrick) and the other is my Ogryn (Buck). Neither of them have any gear that is out of place. Though the thought of bringing over a SM did cross my mind...

Re: Rogue Trader?
Hmmm. Would it be possible to just segue our current mission in DH into this?

Re: Rogue Trader?
Well if you bring them over as former Inquisition agents it might lend some drama.
It might be, I just need to sit and think a bit on how to do it.Hmmm. Would it be possible to just segue our current mission in DH into this?

Re: Rogue Trader?
The tricky bit is going to be shoe-horning those characters into the Rogue Trader career paths and rank systems. Aside from some differences in skills and talents - especially talent groups, though even where it says "universal" you can still use the original DH specifics - the rank systems are way different, as are the advancements. In RT, it takes 7,000 spent XP just to get to rank 2 in a career path.
I didn't even look at RT psyker stuff, but I noticed offhand that there are enough differences to require some doing. Also, RT seems to only have astropaths as playable psykers.
