Diablo/Hellfire

Post by Tsukiyumi »

I started playing this again the other day; even though it's really old, it's still extremely fun. Quite satisfying to blast a little goblin with a firebolt, then smack his friend down with my staff while he tries to run away.

I like it, like most games of that genra I play mage. Although the fact that your weapons slowly degrade annoys me to no end.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

'Tis what I'm playing.

I actually like that feature.

I dont like that I grind and grind to save up for an awesome weapon only to see it disolve over time...

Griswold can fix them. Or, in the Hellfire expansion, there's the Blacksmith Oil.

I got Diablo II as a (BDay, I think) gift from my sisters a few years back; it was fun even though I was never much of a gamer. It has been a while since I've played it though.

Get the updated version if possible, as it has an addition "scene" and two new characters (the Druid is my favorite as anyone that can turn in a werewolf or werebear for battle it cool by definition). One of the best RP games ever made.
