When did someone say every 20-30 years??? I thought they just had a slow rate so they just wont turn out a hundred kids per.
Well I said in that thread that it would be a very rare thing. We didn't ever set a time scale though. But If the creature lives hundreds of years and has less kids than say a human's half dozen. Then 20-30 years isn't outrageous by any means.

If we stay tied right now I'll just say we're between the DQ Medium and the AQ-BQ Mediums. Hopefully though one will pull ahead.

When does the thread end and what would the tech level be if they stayed tied?

I voted for D, so I could change it to break the tie.

No, thats not a good idea. The point it to vote for what you want. Not was is most popular. Cast your vote. If you're thoughts should ever change then you can change your vote.

Agreed.

If the vote stays tied, they'll just be somewhere above Delta Quadrant standard, but slightly behind Alpha/Beta standard.

Sounds right. Just form a balance between the two. Shouldn't be hard seeing the traits they have will overcome any lag they may suffer from.

Would you say that would be about Cardassian level? I think that works.

I think that's where post-DQ/pre-AQ strenght would put us. I'd go with that. We've always said that the Cardies could be a threat if they managed things well.

Agreed. Good call, Reliant. Close enough to everyon to be competitive, but not quite there. Perhaps they will be soon, though, considering our little mushrooms' philosophy.

The Cardies themselves have proven themselves one of the, if not the, most logical and capable races in the entirety of trek. They would pose a very serious threat IF their economic and industrial base had been more sizable. Now that a 'shroom-men have that industrial base, they could be quite a threat, even without the fancy gizmos of the Feds.

I was thinking what kind of Empire.

Member of one of the others.
An AQ or BQ player in Galactic Events
Dominion sized Empire
Extra-Galactic or Extra-universal massive Empire

and a few things in between. Maybe a Tholian or Gorn sized and another option a Klingon or Romulan size.

And then after that either their politics or their tech style. i.e. bullets vs transporter weapons (which I think the transporter would make an awesome weapon personally).

So true, It would make a pretty cool weapon, specially for fungus that can't move a lot.
