well, Reliant, JK, why don't you two do what ever prep you want...I'll review the rules and get our set up going hopefully over the weekend.

This is getting good. I can't wait for the next battle I'm in to test out the new rules. Oh, and good job on them Rochey.

Rochey, you want to edit the first post to link the current battles?

If no one has filled the slot I'd like to take up my Excelsior battle position again?

No problem, you're in.

I've also updated the main list to reflect the current on-going battles.

Alright. I'd like to try out the new rules.

Anybody up for a repeat of the upgraded GCS vs the Lakota battle? Looking for someone to play the much better armed Lakota or to run the thing.

I'm probably going to run either another battle royal or something similar after this one, you could join that with a GCS and someone else would likely be the Lakota, along with several other ships.

You can do that, or if you find an opponet, and get onto the list (first post of the this thread) and either Rochey or I will do it when it comes up.

*sigh* that wait doesn't look good.

Presumably I could run one. If you could give me a handful of details missing from the rules (how you decide which sections are hit by torps, if phasers have any directionality or just fire in any direction, and how you handle ship movement).

(Though with my current life it wouldn't be like it was in the past where I'd do dozens of turns in a day)

how you decide which sections are hit by torps,
Look at the map and the orientation of the ships. If its facing the starboard section of the ship it hits stuff on that side. If the attacker says he's aiming at a very specific section the chance to hit goes down. If he just says a general attack area the torpedoes are evenely spread at systems in that area.
if phasers have any directionality or just fire in any direction
Depends on what it is. Phaser arrays can fire anywhere in line of site, disruptor banks as seen on the Vor'Cha and Negh'Var can only fire ahead with a small arc (nothing over 45) Pulse fire is pretty much dead straight with only a slight firing arc.
and how you handle ship movement
People say they wanna move 80,000km forward... they move 80,000km forward if they get the required roll, a 7 on 2D+2 if I remember correctly.

Honestly this is all covered in the rules Rochey posted.

Also check out the Battle Royal 2.0 thread, I signed you up but you might wanna back out if you dont want to.
