I love how Rochey (the man with a fully working pc yet unable to keep up with the most simple of things) likes to chime into this. :poke:

I'd like to join in as perhaps an ex-Imperial Guard which was added to the retinue? My WH40k info isn't that comprehensive so I don't know the likelyhood of being a non-psycker / Inquisitor and being brought along.

None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Cool. In the "40k RP" thread you will find links to some resources which may prove helpful as far as background knowledge, equipment and tech, etc. Inquisitorial agents regularly travel with non-standard staffs, so the likelihood of that type of character being present is 100% - because you want to play.

Take a peek through everyhting, see if you can put a bio together. If you have any questions, put 'em up here - I (or better yet, Rochey or Deep) will be happy to help.

Former Guard are always around such groups. The Inq likes them since they're trained and have their own geared already. Also remember that this group can have any profession you can make up. My character is a former Storm Trooper. Nothing special about him.

Not that I want to be one but what are those gankaholic WH40k vs Star Wars people's idols who guard the Emperor called? I'm just currious :P

In 40k the God-Emperor is protected by a Legion of Adeptus Custodes.

In Star Wars the Emperor is protected by the Crimson Gaurd.

I knew the Star Wars one :P And they were over seen by the Soverign Imperial Crimson Guard. That's one universe I know well. My WH40k is medicore.

I think I'll be an old Imperial Guard vet trained to resist psyckers and a veteran of the Ork Acoloypse War where the orks united (assuming this is the right century).

If you're referring to the Third War for Armageddon, then the timeframe should be OK.

Aye, that one should do fine. Veterans of the Imperial Guard are a very common addition to Inquisitorial squads, simply for the fact that, at times, having a guy well trained in shooting people is helpful in their line of work.

The timeline doesn't really matter. Remember that the Warp means you could leave point A and get to point B in a week or a thousand years. That really leaves it open for you to pick whatever time you want.
