Time had come full circle. There was one time that Darel would have happily fired upon a Federation cruiser. In the name of Cardassia. In the name of the Obisidian order. Even in the name of his family. He would quite contently destroy one of the silent grey bastions of peace. of order. of righteousness.
And yet he sat on the bridge of the Daystrom during the battle firing away at the enemies of the Federation. Be they of Klingon, of Ferengi....Of Cardassian design. He was one of the arbiters of their demise.
He'd come full circle now. he served what one day were his enemy. And he had never felt better.

As the crowds began to desperse Commadore Ford glared at Munro for recieving some credit. He was stopped by a visiting Admiral. "Commadore Ford?" The Admiral asked taking the other man's attention off of Munro.

"Yes sir?"

"In light of your brilliant tactics and leadership on the ground of the battle Starfleet Command would like to offer you command of a newly formed division designed to teach our ground forces how to better operate. There's a promotion in it for you if you say yes." The Admiral smiled.

"Sir, it would be an honor. I've always thought that our current tactics were mediocre but with some tweaks we could improve them."

"Body armor and those walkers?"

Ford shook his head, "No sir, that is not needed. Trust me from someone who saw the operation from ground level the walkers were just a waste. Our current equipment can suffice." Ford and the visiting Admiral walked out of Munro's ear range to discuss how they were going to 'fix' Federation ground warfare.

Rochey walked up to Munro as the Breen watched the conversation. "You did an okay job for a Breen." Rochey said turning his body to face Munro.

Munro slowly turned his head at Rochey, "You did an okay job for a Tholian." Munro performed an about face and walked off back towards the crew of the Daystrom leaving his species' nemisis and his friend behind him. Pausing Munro turned slightly back towads Rochey, "Come on, we've got a damaged ship to whip the crew into repairing."
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.
