Ike Countdown to D-day.

TV movie with Tom Selleck. Shaved head and no mustache. You can barely recognize him. It's actually not bad.

He's 75, it never really occured to me that he is almost as old as my Father.

Locked Down: was billed as a fun, humorous heist film, all which was found in the final 15 minutes. The rest of the what seemed like hours, was a depressing look at a couple during lock down, who are at the end of their relationship and forced to be in the same space. Y-A-W-N!!!

On the bright side, soundtrack was great!

What We Left Behind.
Then I refreshed the youtube page to get the comments to load and it said "Video is not available in your country". Note I didn't even pay for it - it showed up for me to watch anyway on my recommended and watched the full thing!

Pixar's "Soul." Great film. It gets the important emotional aspects that made me love Pixar movies in the first place.

Promising Young Woman: billed as a dark comedy thriller...some comedic moments to be sure...what Fatal Attraction did for the late 80s, this does for modern day. Shocking, intense, keeps you guessing what might happen next. Not at all what I expected, glad I decided to see it. Carey Mulligan is very good, no wonder she is getting award buzz already.

Fatale: decent thriller starring Hillary Swank. Plenty of jump moments but too many slow ones.

I think it was made in 2005 or something.

News of the World: Tom Hanks is a news reader, going town to town in post-civil war Texas. He comes across a young girl, who was taken from the massacre of her family by the Kiowa tribe and raised by them. Hanks takes on the long journey to return her to family.

A bit long winded, but a good film (as to be expected by THs) and with excellent cinematography!

The Little Things: a classic thriller starring three Oscar winning actors...Denzel Washington, Jared Leto, and Rami Malek. Lots of twists and turns with suspense galore. Slow pacing works here, to keep you wondering.

The Midnight Sky: starring and directed by George Clooney: A lone scientist in the arctic races to contact a crew of astronaunts returning home to a mysterious global catastrophe.
Aside from the telegraphing of all the big moments, it was a very good film. Figure it to get award nominations aplenty this season.

Update: have seen this getting panned by critics..maybe because it was released around the holidays and it was cheery?

I'm tempted to check it out on the cast alone!

Hellboy (2019) Nothing on tv so watched this utter stinker of a film...possibly for the second time (though I did not remember most of it).

Bad cgi, bad script, awful acting all around (shame on you Ian McShane)...bad just bad!
