Tenet...terrible

Ad Astra...dull and totally predictable

I'm getting into the last 8 episodes of Leverage: Redemption. A reboot of the original series, that had the first 8 episodes back in the summer. Silly but fun.

Well actually yesterday I watched:

Dune
Oh so long and slow for half a film. 155mins and then it suddenly stops half way through the film. It did make a lot more sense than the last time they tried to make a film of it.

Halloween Kills
Oh no not again. Follows directly on from the last Halloween film. Going in I didn't know if this was a sequel to the last or simply ignored it or what. Not too keen on the ending of this one.

Venom: Let there be Carnage
Pretty decent follow-up to the first Venom movie. If you liked that one you'll like this one. Woody Harrelson does his usual bang up job of playing a psycho.

No Time To Die
A repeat watching of this for me. I loved it and it didn't get any worse on rewatching. Spotted a few things in the rewatch that I missed in the first watch. I did kinda see the ending coming a mile away both times I watched it.

I've started watching Agent Carter and the old Muppet Show. Both are pretty damned good.

Finch (2021) A robot that lives on a post-apocalyptic earth which was built to protect the life of his dying creator's beloved dog, it learns about love, friendship, and the meaning of human life.
Think of Cast Away, but replace Wilson the ball, with a robot and dog. Tom Hanks, in another solo vehicle, tugging at heart-strings, while the 'tinman' gets a heart and dreams (not of electric sheep).
Not bad, not great, some funny unexpected moments help keep the doom and gloom at bay.

Watched a few old Godzilla movies. The mid 80's Godzilla which reset the Godzilla from the 60's and 70's. So now he is not campy anymore.

Godzilla versus Mechagodzilla 2. And then Godzilla versus Destroyah.

Destroyah is unique because it is a creepy and disturbing villian for Godzilla. This was of course supposed to be the last Japanese Godzilla movies to make way for the American version. Which is the Godzilla in name only 1998 version.

Army of Thieves (2021): sequel to Army of the Dead, also from the same year.

Story follows how the safe cracker began his life of crime, with a crew trying to find and crack the four safes created by Hans Wagner, and named for the four part opera The Ring of the Nibelung by Richard Wagner.

A fun heist movie, with lots of unexpected humor. A nice surprise for something I figured would be awful.

Well home alone as my wife is on a walking holiday. I watched X-Men and god does Patrick Stewart look young. Especially after seeing him in Picard recently.

After that I watched Suicide Squad followed by The Suicide Squad.
