Poor exterior design. Poor interior design. Massive weakpoints all over the hull. Ship blows up if the nacelles get scratched. All weapons can be disabled by a hit to one single area of the ship. No proper security. No computer security. Bridge exposed to enemy weapons fire. Massive target profile....

Every class has the same problems, because the writers want them to be!

Well, it sure does not cast a good light on the Reliants science officer. He would and should at least look at the sensor readings when entering the system and count the "dark dots". :D

Well, as I wrote elsewhere, I think that the biggest problem on the Enterprise D were not the constructors, not the designers but the writers who wanted things on board to blow up every now and then. Also computer breakdowns and (threat of) a warp core breach was quite popular. But the problem was, ...
