What ever happened to.....

Has anybody else ever wondered what ever happened to some of the more interested races out there? What ever happened to those lovable gansters in "A Piece of the Action" BTW, since it's obvious I love ships, what ever happened to USS Excalibur (Contitution Class). Her crew was all killed b...

Re: What if 2

A badly beat up USS Equinox returns to Federation space with a hell of a story.

Re: What If: Voyager

Re: What If: Voyager

I just don't think that he's the same caliber as Janeway, so I'm not sure they ever would have made it home at all Ummm...... This is Kathryn Janeway were talking about, not Jean-Luc Picard. She did something right. In Nemisis it LOOKED like she had three admirals pips (I could be wrong there). Not...

Re: USS Exeter

I'm of two minds. I see them wanting to make use of what they have, but Exter would be like a freaking haunted Ghost Ship. Starfleet Officers are well trained, but who would want to serve on her? That would be kind of spooky. I kind of feel like they would have decalred her a grave site or a memori...

Re: Hand Phasers

You know, two things never did sit right with me about phaser fights. First, the phaser beam travels at light speed, so how do people continually manage to dodge one, either by stepping out of the way or ducking behind cover? Second, I know that if a phaser fight was portrayed accurately, one's cove...

Re: What If: Voyager

Guys, let's not forget that Chakotey was a former Starfleet Commander, and recieved all his training from Starfleet. He left Starfleet to go and defend his home, using unconventional means. Suddenly he finds himself in command of a federation starship. I think that he would revert to form, and try t...

Re: "In A Mirror Darkly..." question

Ok.....here's a mind bender for you. In the origianal time line, both our universe and the mirror universe advanced technologically at the same rate (i.e. Constitution Classes at the same time). HOWEVER, with Defiant getting tossed backwards 100 years into the mirror universe, you would think that w...

Re: Species of the week: Gorn

I love the Gorn!!! I always felt that they were treated like the unwanted stepchild of the Trek universe, but I think that they would have made some of the most interesting characters of all. For some reason I always saw them as becoming allies if not joining the Federation ( I have no basis for thi...

USS Exeter

Just a thought, what do you suppose they did with the USS Exeter AFTER The Omega Glory ? After all, her crew is dead, and the only survivor is her Captain who was just arrested on multiple charges. What would Starfleet do? Re-crew her and send her out under a new Captain? De-commission her? Declare ...

Quantum Torpedoes

You know, something about Quantum Torpedoes has always bothered me. They are "supposed" to be more powerful than the standard photon torpedo, yet the casings look identical. The Lakota was upgraded to carry them, and the Excelsior class is one of the oldest still being fielded by Starfleet...

Lasers

Dumb question, but do you all suppose that those laser pistols they were carrying around in The Cage had some kind of stun setting as well? Wonder how that would have worked.

Re: How Would You Have Written Enterprise's Final Episode

Here here! Tell you the truth, I would have felt better if they would have been using something like those plasma bullets or a high powered magnetic projectile launcher or something. But, I still feel the need to try and expain moving backwards in the arms race

Re: What starship would you least like to captain?

But combat is not the ONLY danger in deep space. How many different kinds of anomolies have we seen crop up over the years. A good ion storm could pose a threat as well as a good gravitational surge. This ship could even be a target for pirates, for heavens sake. As for the demise of USS Grissom, J....
