Re: Paladin Photoshop

Well, I'm not big on the multiple nacelle idea to begin with, but if it's already been agreed upon by the more regular members, I'm not gonna make waves. But if I may comment on the placement of those nacelles: having 3 on top makes it look crowded . I wouldn't mind the "X" formation in th...

Re: Cardassian Design Elements

I always thought of a mana-ray, myself... just with a slightly smaller "wingspan".

Anyway, the program I was gonna use is giving me more trouble then I thought... so I might not do it quite yet. Still, I always liked Cardassian ships, so I appreciate the discussion anyway...

Re: Cardassian Design Elements

So are the warp coils for the Cardassian ships more like warp plains?

Cardassian Design Elements

Something about Cardassian Ships has always caught my intrest and I'd like to either expand their fleet or maybe work on schematics for the ships we've already seen. As a new member to DITL, I'm not privvy to the discussions about this in the past and I'm wondering what things people have collective...

Re: The Staplic Star Trek Universe

How ecxactly do you envision Paris working his way up to admiral from an ensign? Well, Paris was actually a leitenant if memory serves me right. But regardless, I'm sure by the time Voyager reaches the Alpha quadrant, everyone on that ship deserved a couple increases in rank. They faced problems Al...

Re: The Staplic Star Trek Universe

I like the one that DOESN'T seperate... but that's mostly because I have a bias against ships breaking apart. I just can't wrap my brain around the minor benefits of such a system vs. the extreme degree of complexity it would have.

Re: The Staplic Star Trek Universe

In my opinion, the Klingon ship looks too much like a Cardassian ship.

As for the arguments about Star Trek ship design, I imagine the dumbest orientation is actually the most Trek-cepted one...

Re: Questiona about Trek-nology

With regard to the fusion reactors: have they ever been shown? They seem pretty important (the ships emergency power source), yet they're rarely mentioned, which is weird consdiering how many times the warp core breeches or is about to breech or captains just ditch them...

Questiona about Trek-nology

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but seeing as it pertained to the universe as a whole, I didn't see where I could put it. As for the questions, I'm not sure if they're ever been answered in the show or somewhere here in the hallowed halls of the Daystrom Institute, but I was curious how ships p...

90% of their topics are positive while 90% of ours a negative. lol It's funny you say that cause every time I write some biting criticism of "Star Trek", I worry I will be censored... or accosted by fellow members. Glad to see I can make fun of it without fear :happydevil: . As a devout &...

Re: Mothball Upgrades

You'de think those "Transport Inhibitors" would be put on every federation ship? Whatever powercell they use is small, so when shields fail they oughta just turn a couple of those things on... ... but I'm going off topic by bashing Star Trek Tech. I guess it's safer to have shuttles and su...
