The movie ends with Paul making it rain on Arrakis. Which so totally does not happen in the book.

Granted. Now old people have a special taxi service, and your a driver in it.

I wish I wasn't surrounded by sloths.

While I understand that when a book is turned into a movie, there are things that will have to be changed. However, that's no reason for the movie having the ending it did. Completely doesn't fit with the book at all.

Unfortunately, I don't think the Firefly franchise has much of a future. It is essentially a failed TV show, and Serenity was not a box office success to at all. Although I do hear there is a comic book series in the works.

While I have heard "Make It Sew" jokes before, this is the first time I've seen such a picture. Now I want a pair of boxers like that.

The movie is pretty damn good and pretty funny. Personally, I would have preferred if they included more swearing, but that's only because I like swearing. I would so rate it a five star movie.

I only started watching the show with the 2005 revival. It's as good a place as any to get started. Of course, I had the beneift of my uncle being a huge fan of original Who. He pretty much explained things and answered my questions. Still, it does seem that the 2005 series is a good place to start,...

Yeah, they're enjoyable. And scarily accurate about what grocery stores are like overnight.

Another vote for the Empire. Fly around in a Star Destroyer, command Stormtroopers to fight and die for you, what's not to love?

Jack O'Neill. Not only is he one of the best characters on the show and the funniest, he's also believeable. You believe this guy has served in the military for awhile and has been on some hellish missions and had some hellish experiances. And yet, despite the obvious dark past he's had, he's one of...

I've come up with my own theory about Book. I figure he was involved with an Alliance Intelligence agency, and wanted to get out. By get out, I'm referring to retirement or something similar. So he created the persona of a priest and lived that life, but kept credentials of his former life should he...

I can't say I enjoyed the Lynch movie at all. I did check out the director's cut which carries the Alan Smithee name on it, and while better, still not too good. It's not really accurate to the book, and the end goes against the book completely. The mini-series Sci-Fi Channel did based on Dune and C...

SG-1 is definately worth getting into. Especially the first eight seasons. The whole series is excellent, but the first eight seasons are quite possibly the best science fiction in recent years.
