Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street - remake

Absolutely horrible. Jack Haley's no Robert Englund, that's for sure.

Re: What if: Janeway Dies in ''Caretaker''

So, in essence, Janeway dies, the Caretaker array blows up, the Kazon capture Voyager after about two episodes, on to Enterprise?
What, no Seven to leer at!?! :devilwings:

Re: Poll ideas

Has there been a poll on race most wanted to be developed further?
--Klingons
--Cardassians
--Borg

Re: TOS Ship Battle: D-7 Class vs Constitution-class

Like I said, I only "envisioned" that about the Klingons. I just makes sense to me that the warrior race who shoots first, no questions asked would naturally want to outgun the competition, any way they can. Competition in this case being the Feds and their Connies. The saving grace of the...

Re: of klingon design....

At the same time, the Klingons always seem to refer to Romulans as "honorless p'Tachs" (did I spell that right?!?!).
Is that on account of their sneaky-sneaky ways, or did they rip off the Klingons with inferior cloak technology:?:

Re: TOS Ship Battle: D-7 Class vs Constitution-class

Connie wins again! The D-7 could if it had proper shielding systems, though. I always envisioned that the Klingons' weaponry hit harder than that of the UFP ships. Seems necessary for the race that they are.

Let's not forget that it is a film critics' job to thoroughly discourage anyone from viewing the movie.... :bangwall:

Well, I thought that was pretty good, although we could keep Picard alive and still manage to avoid Nemesis

Re: Confirmed: STXI is alternate timeline

I still think the alt-E-nil is ugly though. Disagreed. The main thing I really don't like about the alternate E-nil is the curvy nacelle pylons. Ewwww I don't have a problem with the saucer, or really with the various pylons and the nacelles. The really ugly bit is the engineering hull - ...

Re: Updated trailer with Spock (Nimoy)

I hope the character development isn't so lopsided in this re-imagining. I liked all the characters, and they've got so many talented actors in those roles, they'd better use them. God forbid one of them doesn't want to come back because they didn't get enough screen time. I'm especially interested...

Re: Confirmed: STXI is alternate timeline

Well, that is just brilliant....now it doesn't seem so much a cheapshot money scheme....I am actually looking forward to this film even more than before. For some odd reason, I always greatly enjoyed the time-traveling shenanigans.

Its a hard call, Spock's death and farewell was exceptionally well done but in the end I have to go with the signing off in TUC, it marked the end of an era and I very nearly tear up when I see it. Absolutely, the sign-off was classy. Too bad Kirk, Chekov, and Scotty didn't STAY signed-off... :twis...

I voted for the end bit, however, if there was an "other" button, I would have punched it. That movie neasrly single-handedly killed ST, for cryin' out loud!
