Re: Weekly Poll

When they got back to Starbase Wherever, they could have hailed him and said "What are you still doing there?" or something. That's the sort of thing Kirk would have done.

Re: Weekly Poll

Can't get much worse then that one. Although I'm not too fond of Picard's decision to drop the cloak after the E-D escaped from inside the asteroid in "The Pegasus", either. Why not just slip away and leave Tomalak sitting there for days waiting for a signal? The amusement value alone woul...

Re: Weekly Poll

I just love whoever casted him in the role of Khan. The two kings of overacting on the same screen at the same time. Pure genius.

Re: Caption Competition

My first honorable mention! At least I think it was my first. Either way I'm pretty pleased with myself today ... :)

Re: Weekly Poll

May I suggest a poll for the best bad-guy death? I'm thinking we could have Khan blowing himself and the Reliant to dust, Shinzon pulling himself closer to Picard along the pipe he was inpaled on, General Chang getting blown to bits by the Enterprise and Excelsior, the Borg queen in First Contact me...

Re: Sudden Death

I'm just bitter because Mott beat my high score and I know there's no way I'll ever get that far again. There are patches where you get more of one type of image then another (say, more personnel then planets or more ships then nebulae), but it always seemed totally random to me. If Mr. Kenney is hi...

Re: Sudden Death

I'm up there in a few places, but it was a great deal of luck that got me there. And perseverence. The one time I got a really high score, I must have played the game 50 times in a row. It was a slow day at the office

Not if it meant I had to put up with Troi's meddling every time I had a slightly bad day

Re: Stargate: Universe is a go

How is Fringe? I'm not a fan of Lost or Heros, personally.

Re: Stargate: Universe is a go

It's funny how tv producers think. They want to "appeal to a younger audience." But they assume that doing so means they have to stock their shows with annoying 20-somethings. It sounds like Beverly Hills 90210 in space. I realize we have no idea what these characters are really going to b...

Re: Stargate: Universe is a go

Let's see, several hot girls (no problems there), one of which is the spoiled rich girl, one the poor girl who had to join the air force for lack of better options. One crusty older leader, a social outcast genius jack of all trades, the sexy young soldier boy, and the dark, brooding tough guy. Coul...

Re: Under which Captain would you rather serve?

I'm going to second a previous posting, which said something along the lines of "Kirk, so long as I don't have to wear a red shirt." I agree. I loved TNG and Captain Picard, and would serve under him without hesitation. But there is something to be said for that "Cowboy Diplomacy"...

Re: Stargate: Universe is a go

Sounds like Atlantis meets Voyager to me. Any word on who will be in it? Either way it's not like we have many options once SGA and BSG go offline, so I'll give it a go.

Re: Atlantis bites the dust

Say it ain't so! I admit the show can be a bit cheesy at times what with all of the super-aliens and increasingly techno-babbly ways that Rodney comes up with of dealing with them. But it's still a great show and with it's demise, what are we left with? Battlestar Galactica is great but is coming up...
