Re: Graham

I can only agree with the sentiments expressed by others. As a relatively passive user of this site, my contributions being limited to entering the Caption Competition and a few forum posts, I never had much contact with Graham, but I know that I will miss him and his work. Sadly, I never got around...

Re: Dissed by the caption comp

I'm having the same problem, i.e. receiving an "anti-spam" message when trying to post an entry to the caption competition. I even tried logging into the bulletin board first in case only registered users are allowed to post entries (which, BTW, would be a sensible idea). The only possibil...

ST:TNG Season 7 - "Parallels"

The "Body Count" section needs updating. In at least one reality, Geordie LaForge dies after a Cardassian ship attacks the "Enterprise".

"For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky" (TOS, Series 3) According to YATI, "The Fabrini language is rather peculiar - it consists of only two symbols, a triangle and an upside down triangle!". Those triangles are actually wall plaques on which a more complex script i...

Re: Episode nits on the main site

I noticed three errors in the review of "Whom Gods Destroy" (TOS, Series 3). 1/ The YATI entry states that Garth's explosive doesn't do much to Marta. In fact, it seems to vapourise her. 2/ In light of the above the "Body Count" should be one, not zero. 3/ The "Plotline"...

A book containing the original script and Harlan Ellison's account of its development was published in 1996. There was a second edition in 2014 but I don't know what differences there are between the two editions. You should be able to find them both on Amazon.

Re: Episode nits on the main site

The review of "Family" (TNG, Series 4) includes the factoid, "This was the first episode in Star Trek history which did not have a scene set on the bridge." This may be true of TNG, but not of "Star Trek" as a whole; "All Our Yesterdays" (TOS, Series 3) had no...

Re: Episode nits on the main site

The review of "A Piece of the Action" (TOS, Series 2) states that this episode has a body count of zero. In fact, one of Bela Oxmyx's men is killed in a "hit" shortly after the landing party arrives.
