Re: Oberth Layout Issues
So, what about the why of the whole thing? WHY is the ship built this way? Why this shape? To fit into the shape of a warp field? The Romulan D'Deridex class has the same issue. In fact, it seems like a much larger issue with the Romulan Warbird because that ship is so much bigger. "Captain, pl...

Speaking of sound effects, I think photon torpedo sound effects for this movie were made from speeding up the TOS sounds. Also, I think the sound effects were great - Ben Burtt was the head sound guy, and he worked on Star Wars (R2-D2 anyone?) and Wall-e.

I love floor plans and blueprints. I'm game to give it a try, though I'm a beginner in many ways.
In any case, I bet it'll be a challenge to get these plans to jive with the movie sets.

Re: Dumb tattoos
Wow, that's a first for my eyes! I think that's hot mostly because corsets are hot and naked women are hot. See, in the old days, you couldn't have both at the same time... But my first reaction to that pic was a really loud UUUUGHHH. Then I found myself looking several more times, and realized that...

Re: DITL Summer Project: Draft a full set of EE Blueprints?
This could be a really fun project. I wouldn't worry about legal issues - if fans can make entire movies and miniseries with actual actors from Trek, we can draw a couple doodles. I'm assuming you're talking about a group effort? That would make this much more feasible in some ways. However, there i...

Ok, you asked for it. (Don't ruin it by skipping to the end.) Lost in the Desert (Author unknown) So, there's a man crawling through the desert. He'd decided to try his SUV in a little bit of cross-country travel, had great fun zooming over the badlands and through the sand, got lost, hit a big rock...
