The fact you may repeat yourself doesn't stop it being infinite - ie going on forever. If you travel in one direction at any spe...

The expansion of th...

Think you'll find that is highly, highly illegal. Rather he paid the actual 'victim' to not prosecute.Lt. Staplic wrote: Well, when you pay out millions of dollars to stop key witnesses from testifying, usually not a tactic taken by an innocent man.

Possible? Yes, but unless they've got a hidden blue-whale size block of (quite handy) enriched uranium somewhere, they still ain't wiping anyone off any map.

Re: Question about Ship Tonnage in Star Trek
Just for reference - if a body is floating, displacement = mass of the body.
EDIT: although in more common usage, displacement = maximum fully laden weight (personnel, aircraft, fuel etc onboard), while mass = unladen weight.

Re: Gamma Mission Prep
Depends on the context, doesn't it? It's a title rather than a rank, so in addressing them as the 'ruler' of the starship (when asking for orders, giving reports etc), they would be captain, yet when addressing them 'personally' (such as an officer from another ship), they would be commander.
