Re: DS9 starship
I'd watch Scrubs on a Plane though. It is doable. Maybe a medical hospital plane that goes to natural disaster or war torn areas bringing back the injured or the sick. But I don't see how you can make that funny though. Not impossible, MASH managed to do it. A little humor in between the grim detai...

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
I find that I enjoy the interaction of the characters more than the mystery. I've just hit the episode where the new guy comes in, Sgt Scott. The Midsomer area must have the highest murder rate in the UK, :P and there seem to be a large number of eccentric people living in the rural areas of England...

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Seems I've caught some kind of seasonal bug, it's colloquially known as MidSomer Murders. I catch it on Netflix, it's been running since 1997, that has to be some kind of record. I enjoy Nettles character, has to be rough on Sgt. Troy, he's always looking for the easy collar.

From what I could gather Bernd did shut it down from lack of traffic, hell who knows, maybe Flagg killed it off.

Re: Shelter separated siblings "to stop them hugging"
Well, the U.S. has survived worse storms in it's history, I can only hope that the trend continues. There are times that I hope that my time on this planet is done before this country falls to tyranny, left or right.

Re: Shelter separated siblings "to stop them hugging"
Ya know, if it isn't the right manufacturing crisis after crisis it's the left doing so. Do you know why they do? To CONTROL you. Oh look, it works swimmingly, remember the last time they used children as a foil? The question should be, "what are they distracting you from now?" , but nobod...

So am I reading that chart right? Libs rate fairness and harm higher than the others while Conservatives rank all of them fairly equally. Or am I just flubbing it?

Re: Sibling rivalry
Perhaps a WW2 Sullivan family type of situation? It is an inherently hazardous occupation. At least one sibling needs to be a Vintner? lolGraham Kennedy wrote:Do you really think that Starfleet might have some sort of rule saying only one sibling per family was allowed to join?

Re: Rumours, news and general speculation
Which is stupid. Sexism is discrimination based on sex and racism is discrimination based on skin and origin, nothing else matter and people wonder why I love to hear a woman (Maisie Williams) saying peoples are just peoples or sexist but saying you are feminist as no meaning.... But our days are t...

Re: Rumours, news and general speculation
I've been watching on and off. I'm fortunate that in the UK it's being carried via Netflix as we have no real CBS presence so I just get it along with my most valued subscription. I'm very much in the "indifferent" category. I quite like it, obvious plot holes aside. But I struggle to rec...

Re: Trump admits he is under investigation
Has he ever denied being investigated for firing the FBI Director? Not that I know of. Being investigated by the individual who advised that he do it is a bit shady. Don't ya think? By the way, is he talking about Mueller or some one on Mueller's team?

Re: Thanks anyway, America, it was nice knowing you
Mikey, my apologies no outrage meant for you, just frustration at our political system (both left and right). The title set me off more than anything, if America can survive eight years of Obama it can survive Trump too. It's not the first time this country has been "rocked" by troubles, i...

Re: Thanks anyway, America, it was nice knowing you
Come on Mikey, the left has been screaming for Comey's blood for months. Now the Left is just aghast that he was fired? This is not the first FBI Director fired by a President, so spare me the false histrionics.
