Finished the 8 episode first season...wow and WTF!...hoping they follow up with a season 2 as I have lots of unanswered questions!!!

Dune Part 2: great cinematography, good CGI, too many liberties with source material, horrible casting choices....but it made a ton of cash so they will keep recycling the actors into more 'book adaptations' as long as the cash cow mooooooos

4.0 aftersock a while ago...crazy continues!

4.8 earthquake this morning, felt like a ride on an old wooden roller coaster. Have had them here before but smaller, and experienced several when living in San Francisco. Always a strange experience!

Episodes 1+2: Same ol Discovery, featuring the awful acting of the heroic Capt. again and again...feels super rushed, as if they are trying to cram an old fashioned 24 episode season into the final 10 that they have been alloted..oh well, in for a penny, in for a pound..8 pounds left!

Mean Girls 2024: not terrible, some funny retooling of the original, decent singing from many, a few good musical numbers..still the vibe from the original.

Finished season 2 today: felt more like a 'game' in POV shots..final episode took an unexpected turn (as in nothing prepared a non-gamer of the games for it), felt odd and out of sequence with the rest of the main plot lines. I'm guessing it is from the game and will be the main focus of a season 3,...

I'll give this a go...8 episodes so they might rush to cram everything in..we will see.

Migration: brought to you by the studio who did Minions...a family of ducks who have never migrated decide to fly into a crazy adventure...not the same quality as Minions but ok for a duck film.

Damsel: a different take on the classic fairytale ..not bad for a Nteflix production, decent cgi, plot is a bit long in the tooth in the beginning, but picks up with the big bad introduction..good way to spend a rainy afternoon.

Wonka: cringe-worthy musical numbers mixed with violence, extortion, baby-dumping and beyond. Needed copious more footage of Hugh Grant's oompa loompa humor!!!

After my mom had been gone for over 20 yrs, one of her friends sent me an old recipe card she found, in my mother's handwriting...I fell to pieces as if her death had just happened. These emotional triggers will pop up at the strangest times and bowl you over. It is a testement to the love you still...
