Re: Today I Watched...
Finished the Percy Jackson and the Olympians tv series (8 episodes on Disney+).. not as good as the film version, and definitely Disney-fied with cast choices, but not terrible. Seems more in line with the book series, geared for youth readers.

This is terrific! Super creepy, murder mystery...each episode drives the plot both further and sideways at the same time. Worth a watch!

I also saw "The Beekeeper" and was somewhat disappointed. The trailer looked fantastic, however, the movie's first half seemed pretty flat. Perhaps it was badly edited or lacked some music but it just seemed dead in comparison to other of Jason's movies. He was his usual self, but it just...

Sadly, I have to agree. He has shrunken a bit and his voice has a audible quaver/roughness. Might be difficult to project tha Jean Luc swagger.

Re: Halo The Series (2022) | Official Trailer | Paramount+
I'm just finishing this today. Knowing nothing of the video game series, this is just sci fi for me. Plots (there are a few) can get bogged down from time to time, but moves along otherwise. Decent cgi, acting is a little wooden, but maybe it is meant to feel like that until characters evolve. Havin...

Saltburn: another twisty turny drama/thriller from the writer/director Emerald Fennell... very creepy, uncomfortable exploration of the "haves" and a clever "have not"...worth a watch!

Marvel's Echo
5 episodes following the character first seen in Hawkeye series..a bit of prequel, a lot of early ancestors stuff, violence is heavy throughout, ..
Not a bad watch, needed a twist or turn for a bigger payoff..like all Marvel products, it leads into whatever is next.

Barbie: loved the opening frame by frame of 2001 re-imagined..did not enjoy the rest of the film much...there were a few funny moments scattered throughout,..guess not being a Barbie-kid, it mostly seemed stupid and heavyhanded...meh!

Rebel Moon Pt 1: mix the 7 samurai with the matrix, add several dashes of star wars, and make the whole mish mash waay too long with character development lacking at every turn...and you are left with Zack Snyder's latest entry for Netflix. But wait...there's more...in April, Pt. 2 of this schlock w...

Hunger Games Prequel: too long, too heavily focused on one character who sings, gaping plot holes abound for a 2 hr 45min flick...blech!
