Victory, your coming very close to violating the "no VS" rule. Please back away from that cliffs edge.

Re: History of Starfleet
Really though...The situation with the Prometheus, stolen by the Obsidian Order? One of Starfleets most advanced and dangerous ships, taken from right under their noses. Any respectable intelligence agency (S31) should have been all over that. That was just SHEER incompetence.

They all throw around Wong's anti-Star Trek rhetoric like the words he spins are pure gold...I believe our own esteemed Graham Kennedy and him had words once, if I am not mistaken...The stuff of online sci-fi discussion legend.

Re: Spacebattles.com Rant
I personally think they're talking out of their collective asses. The thing about trek is they've always used "just enough" force. Safe to say, the Federation and Starfleet are the toughest guys on the block in a coventional sense (minus the Borg or Dominion who have their own quadrents)....

History of Starfleet
I wonder, since the birth of The Federation, and beyond, how much influence Section 31 has had on the regional and even outside 'goings on' in the AQ and BQ, how much effect that they have had on Starfleet's development, culturally, militarily, etc. I wonder if they are in collusion with operatives ...

Re: Darmok Question
Maybe I should expand on my original point and ask if you all think that the Children of Tama were just another 'powerful alien of the week', in the same vein as the Husnock (although we technically never saw them).

Darmok Question
The E-D in this episode had begun a firefight with the Tamarian ship, and came out the clear loser...If the Tamarians are that technologically advanced and could best the Federation Flagship in battle, why have we not seen or heard from them since? Why do they not have massive swaths of territory in...

Re: The Wounded
NCS is superior to even a Keldon Class Destroyer, even with the AWACS. IMHO, one of the best moments of the episode, at the beginning. Upstart Cardie Galor Class under the command of handlebar moustache Cardie, Macet, played by Marc Alaimo (of Gul Dukat fame), fires on E-D, and Picard, to the Cardie...
