Wouldn't it be a good idea to put a little bit of explosive into the equipment carried on these kinds of missions? Something you could detonate from the ship, just big enough to wreck the internal mechanisms without hurting anybody nearby.
I'm confused as to how the Suliban cell ship cloaking device works. On the one hand you have to run power through it all the time to keep the ship cloaked. But on the other hand objects like Trip's arm can be cloaked and stay cloaked, without any further input of power.
Body Count :
Zero deaths, but after a long period of relative quiet Archer is once again beaten up, as is Reed, during their interrogation.
Factoid :
Francis Guinan, who plays "Gosis" in this episode, also played "Zar" in Voyager's "Live Fast and Prosper" and "Minister Kray" Voyager's "Ex Post Facto".

Plotline

After returning from visiting a pre-warp culture, Reed realises that he has left his communicator behind. He and Archer return to find it, fearing the cultural contamination it could cause. Unfortunately it has already been discovered and a trap laid for them - giving the locals not only scanners and a phase pistol, but Archer and Reed themselves. Enterprise's crew must struggle to rescue the officers and recover the technology without revealing the existence of aliens to the planet.
