Review : Another daft idea handled badly. There were some partially scary moments, but nothing genuinely chilling. The solution was OK, and worked well enough, but was not brilliant. Rubbish!

Review : On first veiwing, this episode falls rather flat in places. There are, however, some rather nice touches: The banter between Doctor and "Clown" is superbly handled, and is a reminder of why the EMH became such a popular character. This episode also does a great job of creating an atmosphere of eternal hell, despite apparently being set in a bright, colourful funfair. Admittedly, there are a few typical Voyager clich├ęs, such as the Surly-Forhead-Aliens who don't even get names, and the inevitable failure of the crew's safety precautions. That said, it is good to see that they at least TRIED to protect Harry (unlike thier usual method of sending the entire crew into "the Spectre Of Death!" without a moment's thought). My only regret is that they didn't send Neelix into the program. Janeway: "So the Clown wants to keep at least one prisoner. Hmm, would we all like to see shoved into a guillotine"

Review : This was an awesome episode. The banter between the Doctor and The Clown easily raises The Thaw above most other programmes and the psycological horror element was brilliantly excecuted. A great job overall!

Review : I take back my review of "Death Wish". This was actually The Worst Episode Ever! Well, until the next. Face paint, costumes, freaks and carnivals have no place in Scifi. It's like Cirque du Soleil meets Star Trek. That's one thing that should have stayed in Vegas.

Review : While it's easy to dismiss this episode as silly, what with people dressed like clowns and acting like prats, this is actually a dark and intense episode with a villain who is as close to evil as anyone in Trek history. The performances of the increasingly fearful prisoners are good and Janeway and the Doctor both get excellent scenes with the enemy. The concept for this episode is disturbing and it is executed (pardon the pun) well.
