Review : Rarely does TNG get so intimate about describing its characters than in 'Family'. This episode has this DS9-ish feel to it that I just love. Picard's brother is such a surprisingly deep character, allowing us to see Picard in a very different light. The secondary plotlines, with Worf's parents and the Crushers, are also very refreshing. Many great moments punctuate this slow-paced episode : Picard's fight with his brother, Wesley watching his father's message, Worf bonding with his parents. I would add that I believe this episode should really be titled "Best of Both Worlds : Part III". You only get to the feel the sense of recovery that pervades the plot if you've just watched the action-packed Borg invasion before. The contrast works perfectly!
