In the aftermath of First Contact a group of Vulcans move to Earth to establish formal relations with Humans. Amongst their number is Sobon a Vulcan physician. Sobon advocates establishing a close relationship with Humans and the sharing of technology. Thanks to his efforts Earth achieves several important medical advances in the coming years, extending the average human lifespan. [2]
