Notes

Like the much larger Predator, the Kazon Raider was originally a Trabe design. When the Kazon rebelled against and ultimately overthrew the Trabe, they appropriated large numbers of these vessels. [3] Today they are to be found in the hands of most of the Kazon sects. [4]

The Kazon are not exactly expert at maintaining ships, and over the years many of these vessels have fallen into a state of some disrepair. Still others have been upgraded with systems from various sources of opportunity. As a result many of these ships differ from one another considerably, and the above specifications should be taken as a baseline only. As a rule of thumb, though, a vessel of this class has less than one third of the strength of an Intrepid class starship.

Comments

The Kazon Raider was seen in Voyager's "Caretaker" and in several subsequent episodes. Like many Delta Quadrant ships the Raider was greatly outclassed by Voyager, lacking even basic replicator technology.

That the Kazon ships are appropriated Trabe designs is never outright stated, but is certainly heavily implied by the Trabe's use of the same designs, and by the Kazon history as a Trabe slave species.

The specs are intended to reflect the disparity in strength, and to complement the larger Predator class ship.
