Yerad III

Planets List
Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Yerad III [1]

A planet just outside the bounds of the Taurus Reach. The planet was considered by Cervantes Quinn as a third-rate imitation of Risa or Wrigley’s Pleasure Planet, the home of a large number of resorts, spas and other tourist destinations. It was also known for being the home of a loose collection of nefarious individuals, many of whom used the remote isolated location and large volume of traffic to and from the planet to hide their activities from the authorities. The Yerad system was the home of an outer planet which contained dilithium mines. [1]

In 2265 the Klingon Empire was interested in the Yerad system, both for the dilithium mines and as a possible strategic point for ship servicing operations. The criminal Ganz also had operations on Yerad III. [1]
