Name :	Altair VI [1]

Sixth planet in the well populated Altair system. In 2267 the Starship Enterprise was one of three Starfleet vessels due to visit the planet for the inaguration of the new President. The event was expected to send political ripples all the way to the Klingon Empire. However, Captain Kirk diverted the ship to Vulcan for Spock's Pon Farr. [1] Altair VI was also mentioned in Starfleet Academy's Kobayashi Maru simulation as the departure port of the damaged vessel which the ship was expected to rescue. [2]
