The Cardassian government arrests Chief O'Brien for working with the Maquis. Despite the difficulties of working within the Cardassian justice system, Commander Sisko is able to exonerate O'Brien. In the process, it is proved that the Cardassians have planted long term operatives in the Federation disguised as humans, who do not even know themselves that they are really Cardassian. [1]
