A member of the crew of the USS Enterprise-D, Hawk was aboard the ship when it attempted to prevent the Borg from destroying the Federation by travelling into Earth's past and assimilating the planet shortly before first contact with the Vulcans. Hawk was assimilated by the Borg whilst attempting to prevent them from building a communications beacon on the ship's deflector array; he was subsequently killed by Worf. [1]
