An El-Aurian, Soran was aboard the refugee ships which were rescued by the Enterprise-B when they were caught up by the energy cloud known as the Nexus. Soran was obsessed with returning to the Nexus, and to this end he developed a weapon capable of destroying entire stars in order to alter the course the cloud took through the galaxy. He was an associate of Lursa and B'Etor, who helped him in his plans in return for the weapon designs. Soran was killed by Captain Picard and Admiral Kirk whilst attempting to destroy the Veridian system. [1]
