Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Nona [1]
Species : Neuralian

A native of Neural, Nona was a local 'Kahn-ut-tu' medicine woman and wife of Tyree, leader of the hill people. A manipulative and determined woman, Nona was more than willing to use her knowledge of the planet's biochemical 'magic' to control others. She believed that she had forced Tyree to marry her using this knowledge. When the villagers of Neural started attacking the Hill People with primitive firearms, Nona strongly believed that Tyree should respond with violence. She saw the arrival of a landing party from the USS Enterprise in 2267 as a chance to push this agenda, although both Tyree and Captain Kirk resisted the suggestion. When Kirk was bitten by a Mugato Nona cured him by mixing their blood through a Mako root. It is believed that such a cure bonds the victim to the woman, making him unable to refuse her. Captain Kirk did indeed agree to provide weapons to Tyree's people afterwards, though he dismissed the suggestion that this was a result of her influence. Nona subsequently used another local herb in an attempt to seduce Kirk, prompting fury in Tyree when he observed them. Kirk used his hand phaser to kill another Mugato whilst under Nona's influence. She stole the weapon and attempted to defect to the villagers, but was unable to use the device and was killed. Her death prompted Tyree to take up arms against the villagers, with Kirk's assistance. [1]
