A member of the NCC 1701 Enterprise crew, McGivers was an unhappy resident of the 23rd century. A historian, she thought that the past was far more interesting than the present. She was strongly attracted to Khan Noonien Singh, and helped him to take over the uSS Enterprise after the ship picked him up. When Khan tortured the crew for information she had a change of heart and helped Kirk to overcome Khan's people. She chose to remain with Khan on Ceti Alpha V. [1] After the planet was devastated by the explosion of Ceti Alpha VI, McGivers was killed along with 19 of Khan's followers by the planet's only remaining indigenous life form. [2]
