Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Tarquin [1]
Species : DITL Species No. 996

An individual encountered by the NX-01 in 2153, Tarquin was some three hundred years old at this point. He was a powerful telepath; such abilities were considered antisocial on his world, and he had been exiled to an otherwise uninhabited planet in the distant past to live his life alone. He used his abilities to search for people on distant ships whose minds interested him, and would project telepathic visions to them to convince them to come to his planet. Tarquin acquired companions in this way, replacing each one after their death. He became interested in Hoshi Sato in this way, and offered to assist her with the NX-01's investigation of the Xindi threat by using his abilities to discover information about the Xindi. Hoshi agreed to stay with him for a few days whilst he conducted his investigations, but refused to become his permanent companion. Tarquin used his telepathic abilities to try to fool her into staying, but Hoshi saw through the deception and refused. Regretting his actions, Tarquin gave her the location of the Xindi facility which produced kemocite for the weapon project. [1]
