A member of the Enterprise-D crew, Richardson worked in sciences. In 2369 he was one of those who manned the deflector screen set up to protect the Bersallis outpost from the firestorms which threatened it. The storms were more severe than expected, and the field collapsed at Richardson's location. He and seven others were killed. [1]
