A member of the Q Continuum, Q was a romantic companion to Q for several billion years. She was eventually dumped in favour of Captain Janeway - something she found difficult to accept. She briefly lost her powers during the Q civil war, but retained her enormous knowledge and intelligence. She was able to use these skills to help Voyager find a way into the continuum, where the crew were able to use Q weapons to assist the rebel faction in winning the war. [1]
