A Klingon scientist, in an alternate timeline Korath agreed to give a future version of Admiral Janeway a prototype chrono deflector in return for her assistance in gaining a seat on the Klingon High Council. When Janeway tried to pick up the deflector Korath attempted to cheat her, demanding access to the Federation's ablative armor generator system. Janeway stole the deflector instead. [1]
