Enabran Tain

Former commander of the Obsidian Order, Tain was much feared by the Cardassians and much respected by their enemies. He was Garak's mentor1 and father2, though the two had a falling out when Tain came to believe that Garak had betrayed him.1 Tain was the architect of the disasterous joint attack on the Founder's homeworld by the Obsidian Order and the Romulan Tal Shiar.3 He was captured during the raid and taken to a Dominion prison camp, where he eventually died.2
