Stonn was the lover of T'Pring, Spock's fiance. T'Pring forced Spock to participate in combat with Kirk in an attempt to break their bond so that she could have Stonn instead. She was successful, but Spock warned Stonn that having her might be less pleasant than wanting her had been.1
