A mysterious figure, Cos claimed to have been a rich and successful man in the past. His fortunes changed after he acquired a gambling device which was able to alter the laws of probability; the bad luck this caused him was his downfall. Cos died in one of Odo's jail cells shortly after giving the device to Martus Mazur.1
