Leader of a Maquis cell, Macias's group was infiltrated by Ro Laren in 2370. Macias trusted Ro from the beginning, making her job much easier than it would otherwise have been. He was murdered during a Cardassian attack; his death was one factor which prompted Ro to betray the Federation and become a member of the maquis for real.1
