A Klingon warrior, Kang was a strident supporter of the Empire and had a deep distrust of Starfleet and the Federation. Despite this, he was able to overcome his distrust of Captain Kirk and work with him to defeat an alien entity which was trying to provoke conflict between the two sides.1 Kang was a good friend of Curzon Dax, and the two swore a blood oath together to avenge the death of Kang's son at the hands of The Albino. Jadzia Dax helped Kang to fulfil the blood oath.2
