A brilliant young woman, Rogers travelled aboard the Enterprise-D in 2369. She was disturbed to find herself developing significant mental abilities in the months prior to the visit, including telekinesis and the power of creation. Q boarded the ship and revealed that Amanda's parents had been members of the continuum who had been living in Human form. He offered her the chance to go to the continuum to live, and although initially wary she ultimately agreed.1
