Also known by his pen name of Mark Twain, Clemens was a noted author in the United States during the 1800s. He became aware of the presence of time travellers from the future when several members of the Enterprise-D crew visited in order to deal with the Devidian attacks on Earth in this period. Clemens travelled to the future and visited the ship; although initially wary, he found much in the future that was to his liking.1
